A – Oh about 5 years ago my manager dismissed on the spot, depends on how serious it is.

A – If a practitioner is strongly concerned and they don’t feel the designated lead has taken enough steps to safeguard a child you can ring the local safeguarding board yourself. Everyone has a duty to safeguard children.

A – Reassure, report, record ! Reassure the child, report it to your room leader , safeguarding lead or manager , if none of those are available you have a duty to call it in . Record it all accurately using short succinct language. Don’t ask leading questions to the child and record the facts , don’t give your personal opinions.

A – We report it to our bosses must be price time date and factual and exactly wot was said , then pass them over to safeguarding officer and she then takes next steps . If u don’t feel been dealt with ring first response they can help.

A – Follow settings safeguarding policy or whistleblowing depends on issue. These should be updates now as child protection policy following Ofsted new guidance.

A – I would ring maru for advice then make a referral straight away.
