Could i go from nursery nurse to nursery deputy manager?

Question

Q – “What are people views on going from a nursery nurse to a nursery  deputy manager in a private Setting, is this something that could happen?”

Answers

A – “Im proof of this- went from room practitioner to nursery deputy manager to manger of a nursery within 2 years of working there! Hard work and dedication”

A – “Yes a Room leader would bridge the gap between nursery nurse & deputy . The other thing you could do is to gain experience in another type of setting to get more variety E.G LSA in school , Nanny , Community nursery nurse , Therapy assistant”

A – “I’ve just done it to, Senior Practitioner to Junior Manager. It usually makes sense to recruit from within rather than recruit a new member of staff to the setting”

A – “I did this went from senior nursery nurse to deputy. I did get full support from managers. It can be done with the right training”

A – “Of course…why not? It can be a natural progression but a prior supervisory role (room leader) would support your career move”

A – “I went from nursery nurse to senior to assistant manager within my work place in the space of 5 years it’s great to progress and even better if it’s the same company as you know the place, policies and procedures inside out with the right support from management it’s doable”

A – “It’s a good and easy transition. I did an acting deputy role for a while then made deputy which I did for 9 yrs”

A – “yh I went from assisstant to manager. works for me”
