What signing in and out registers should i use in a day care?

Question

Q – “Does anyone have a good sign in/ out register system for a day care. Or have a copy of one to give me ideas of keeping it easy”

Answers

A – “we have one for everyone who comes in, whether it be child or staff or other visit! literally just says the date at the top and has a table with three columns for the name, time in and time out. then loads of rows”

A – “Ours is generated by our data base so all info is printed each week of children due in etc in each session. Signed in by staff out by parents and then countersigned by management when all children have gone home”

A – “We have a register in our reception. All children’s names. Time in. Parent signature. Who’s picking them up and time out. At the bottom I have staff in and out. And a visitor section above. Name, time in reason for visit and time out”

A – “We have a list of names, who’s in daily and then we sign in and practitioner signs and then we sign out and practitioners signs. A member of management signs at the end of the day”

A – “We have one for children. Columns for child’s first name, second name, dob, time in, time out, and comments ( reasons for not turning up, any reminders)”

A – “I find the most common way is a child & staff register and a seperate visitor register for visitors or parents. Childrens first name surname time in and out and a comments box is handy. staff literally just names listed and time in/out – could be on the same daily sheet at the top/bottom…. then a visitor one name, company if applicable (or tick a box to say a parent/carer), vehicle reg, reason for visit time in and out …”

A – “We use a service called kindersoft”
