Problems with accessing Tax-Free Childcare leads to parents being offered compensation

Accessing the Tax-Free Childcare website has been nothing but trouble for many parents, which has led to many parents missing out on Tax-Free Childcare. When trying to access the website parents are being faced with the message technical difficulties, this problem has caused frustration and upset for many parents. Parents who have been subject to this problem may now be able to receive compensation from the Government.

The Childcare service website that is run by the HMRC went live in April, where many parents began registering their details to become eligible for the 30hrs Free Childcare Scheme. Recently the website has been inundated with parents trying to access the website to receive their eligibility code, and now with further demand from parents, the website is having technical difficulties.

Many parents are beginning to panic that they will not be able to receive their eligibility code in time for the scheme to start, of which then this means they will have to wait until the next term to claim the funding. With time running out it is parents who are going to lose out, therefore it is important that these issues are resolved as soon as possible.

The government is to offer those parents who have lost out on accessing this scheme some compensation, it has been recognized that parents have experienced difficulties and are being told there are technical glitches preventing them accessing the website.
