Which area of my setting should i develolp; a music or a physical room?

Question –

Q – “I am currently studying for my early years degree and whilst on placement have been lucky enough to be given a small amount of money to develop an area. We are looking at the music or physical room potentially. Any ideas please for a desperate student!! I feel lucky to have access to some money, and I really want to make the best use of it!”

Answer –

A – “Physical can incorporate music! We have mini moves and each session is different: action songs, yoga, dance exercise class, musical instruments with world music & party songs”

A – “I think the same but if there isn’t room for that, lots of instruments from around the world to tie in different cultures. Or soft play things for the physical side.

A – “Might be worth considering a sensory room; that way you can incorporate a musical area and enhance physical play through sensory resources.”

A – “Physical room is better”

A – “sensory setting”

A – “I would suggest visiting different settings. Always a good way to get ideas from fellow practitioners”
