Im currently studying BAPP in education SEND, is this enough to be a HLTA?

Question –

Q – “I currently hold my level 4 in teaching and learning and at the moment doing my BAPP in education SEND When finished will I be at the level of HLTA or would I have to do this as well ?”

Answer

A – “You will probably find that you still have to work towards HLTA but you may find that a lot of what you have already have completed can be accredited to you as prior learning meaning you only have to do certain units to complete…. check it out though.”

A – “As far as I’m aware to achieve HLTA status there is a set of standards that you have to evidence, although this may have changed as it was a few years ago I looked into it”

A – “I have a degree in primary education without QTS and hold EYPS. I still had to gain HLTA Status even though standards for both are exactly the same !!”
