Answers

A – “You may find this article useful https://www.earlyyearscareers.com/eyc/latest-news/helping-children-with-autism/

A – “Take your lead from the child, use their likes and dislikes as you would a child who isn’t on the spectrum. Work closely with the parents to see which, if any, strategies they use that work. We are supported by a specialist teacher, family support keyworker and speech and language to support our little one on the spectrum. He has a one to one who has worked with him for nearly 3 years. This helped us really get to know him and how best to support him.”

A – “We have an area senco who sets recommendations for the staff to carry out with the child and then staff evaluate these recommendations and then depending if they have helped develop the child or not depends what the next set of recommendations are or if further help is needed eg caf meetings”
